Joe is a criminal defence barrister at Carmelite Chambers. He represents defendants charged with serious crimes in the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts and has a particular interest in the Youth Court and youth justice.
Prior to beginning his career at the Bar, Joe spent twelve-months volunteering as a caseworker with Victim Support, providing practical support and guidance to victims of crime with a variety of different needs. He also spent a summer interning with the Texas Defender Service in Austin, working closely with capital defence attorneys on complex death penalty appeals.
Joe has experience in legal education having taught secondary school students trial advocacy for the purposes of a mock trial event held at the Central Criminal Court in 2018.”
